I got this as a Christmas gift for someone. I wrapped it without opening it. I was so embarrassed when he opened it. It was so small. Not worth the high amount I paid for it. I out to get at least 75% of the cost if it back. Looks like a Cracker Jack toy. Very disappointed!!

This "toy" is just what I wanted for my great-grandson. He absolutely loves it. He was immediately in awe of the brightly colored gears and his interaction with them was a sight to behold. This product is so good-the pieces are durable, the gears interlock and turn the "innards" of the caterpillar and create a focus of wonder. Knowing the Melissa and Doug brand already from previous purchases, this item exceeded my expectations. A definite thumbs up>>>>>

this was purchased as a toy for a 4 year old boy He was excited to receive it however the actual forks are rather flimsy and slide back in forth while playing with it. If this was purchased as a collectible I would give it more stars
