This is the first pair of Columbia shoes I have purchased. I was looking for a pair of walking shoes that were not too heavy and geared towards running which are usually very light with poor life spans. Bought this for my youngest son for winter. Didn't get his feet wet and he didn't slip on the ice. Looks good on him too. I got a bigger size to accommodate the wool socks. Have yet to test this on trail.

Heavy duty and good quality. The length for tall size is great. I went with a 2xlt because the xlt wasn't available. It's a little baggy on me but I haven't had a chance to wash it yet so it might be okay after that. I think I paid just under $40 and I'd recommend it at that price.
